WordPress featured article: post consistently on the front page.

How to keep a WordPress article featured and always on the front page to always be visible to the user.

Is there the possibility with WordPress to insert some articles on the home page of your choice? Perhaps those deemed of most significant interest. Is there a plugin that can do this? No plugin is needed! Here is the complete guide on highlighting a WordPress post on your blog’s front page without installing specific plugins

By default, all posts published in WordPress are displayed on your blog page in reverse chronological order. The last published article will be the first readable at the top of the page.

However, an option allows you to highlight or highlight an article. This option will enable you to always place a WordPress post on the first page, displaying it in the first place on the first page of the blog for as long as we want.

To put a WordPress article always on the front page and keep it in the evidence we can use two different methods without the use of specific plugins.

Here you can find: the list of the best WordPress plugins and what are WordPress plugins

Let’s now go to the guide on what are the methods to highlight a WordPress article.

WordPress function to highlight an article (first method to modify the visibility section of the Publish pane)

We log into the WordPress

Dashboard. We select Articles and click All Articles

We place the mouse pointer over the title of the article we want to highlight and click on Edit (under the article’s title).

Publish pane (to the right of the article editor), in the Visibility section, click Edit. We

select the checkbox, Highlight this article on the homepage of the site and click OK

We click Update.

WordPress feature featured article always on the front page (second fastest method from the Quick Edit section)

The same result can be achieved using Quick Edit

In the WordPress Dashboard, we select Articles and click on All Articles. We

place the mouse pointer over the title of the article we want to highlight and click on Quick Edit (under the article’s title).

In the Tags box (right), we select the Highlight this article checkbox and click Update.

This option that allows you to keep a WordPress article always on the first page, always positioning it at the top of the first page of the blog without respecting the standard chronological order of publication, must be used for one or at most two posts.

How to reposition a featured article based on chronological order.

To make sure that a featured WordPress post is repositioned according to the chronological order in which it was inserted in the blog, we can use the WordPress edit or quick Edit.

We log into the WordPress

Dashboard. We select Articles and click All Articles. We

In the Publish box (on the right of the article page), next to Visibility: click on Edit. We

We click Update.

METHOD 2 to reposition a WordPress featured post (Quick Edit Section)

In the WordPress Dashboard, we select Articles and click on All Articles

We place the mouse pointer over the title of the article we want to highlight and click on Quick Edit (under the article’s title).
