With it, you compress the content of your website and store it in the APCu. The result: more performance and less loading time. And this is how it works:

STEP 1
Go to the backend of your WordPress and install W3 Total Cache.

STEP 2
Hover your mouse over “Performance” in the left bar and click on “General Settings.”

STEP 3
Go to the “Page Cache” item and check the “Enable” box. Then select the Page Cache method “Opcode: Alternative PHP Cache (APC / APCu).”

STEP 4
Now scroll to the “Minify” item and do the same steps: Check “Enable” and set Cache Method to “Opcode: Alternative PHP Cache (APC / APCu).” Repeat the same for “Database Cache” and “Object Cache.”

STEP 5
At the point “Browser Cache,” it gets even more straightforward: Check “Enable” – done.

STEP 6
Finally, confirm your wish by clicking on one of the buttons, “Save Settings & Purge Caches,” – no matter which one. The new settings are now active, and your cache is completely cleared. This means, for you: optimal performance.
